How do you find your religion? There is a large house. When you enter, you see in front of you and to the right and to the left, many rooms. There are no doors on these rooms. They are open to the central hall where you are standing, so you can see inside the rooms. Each room is well lit, and filled with a different variety of furnishings, colors and symbols. At the back of each room, you can see a door, which is closed.
Each room is a religion, or a particular group within a religion. Each citizen of E V E is a citizen of the world. All the world’s religions are open to every citizen. It is a matter of the citizen’s choice. It is a right of global citizenship to be able to believe and live any religion, which is believable to you.
As you enter the house of many rooms, you look into the different open rooms. You can go in and experience that religion for yourself. Your parents will have brought you up in one or more of the religions. When it is your turn to choose, you may choose any religion that is real to you. That is your responsibility, to try them and see what is most believable to you. You go into several of the different rooms, and treat each one with respect, for it is the light of life for its many followers. It is believable and works for them to lead them to full life. It deserves respect. It may not seem real to you, but it deserves respect as a valuable religion for some people in the world.
When you find a room that seems real, when you find a religion that is believable to you, then commit to that way of life, and become a member of that religion. Open the door at the back of the room, and go in with your whole heart. Learn the celebrations, the music and songs of that religion. Learn its language of hope, forgiveness, Divine grace and guidance. Study its scripture. Make its wisdom your own. Experience life in its way. Participate in its activities and in its communities. Become a part of its life, and make it a part of your life. Now you are ready to Believe, Live and Teach your religion, to do your part of the Divine Harmony.
